This tutorial will help you learn everything needed to pass you grade 1 exam with W.I.D.A.

What’s required to pass:

The candidate is required to be a minimum of 7 years of age on date of examination

Dance: 70 marks
The candidate will be required to dance the following 2 dances:

We will show you examples of the following dances. (note each school will have variations in dance and this is simply for guidance)

• Beginner Reel (32 bars) 
• Beginner Light Jig (32 bars)

The candidate will be required to dance and name the movements of the following ceili dance:
We will guide you through the full dance with instructions to help you learn and finally a video of the dance.        

• The Walls of Limerick

General: 30 marks
The candidate will be required to know:
Take our short quiz and learn the following facts. We will help you learn how to count in Irish.

• the name of the capital of Republic of Ireland; and
• the name of the capital of Northern Ireland;
• how to count from one to ten in Irish

By studying and taking this course you will be well on the way to passing your 1st grade!
